FACILITATION:  We work with health care leaders to facilitate the strategic conversations, cross-industry collaborations, and multi-disciplinary processes that make their visions for the future a reality.

The DesignShop:  Imagine for a minute the toughest decision that your company or organization has to make.  It may involve many people, cross the organizational structure, involve multiple decision makers, and may even have detractors to the decision or the decision process.  These decisions often take months or even years to make and often miss the opportunities of the time.

Now imagine an environment, a collaborative process, a facilitator and team empowered to make a major decision in weeks instead of months.  This is the power of the DesignShop.  The DesignShop is all of the above:

  • A physical environment (with moving walls, technology, mobile team and capable of being in any city anywhere on reasonable notice);

  • A collaborative process (built on techniques that have been developed and tested in multiple venues and organizations);

  • A facilitator (Three-Sixty has experienced facilitators in DesignShop and we have multiple delivery partners with significant bandwidth to serve any client need):

  • Knowledge Workers (a free-lance group of individuals from around the country that have delivered many successful DesignShops);

  • You (just add your team and we are ready to go).

The DesignShop was designed and developed by architect and systems engineer, Matt Taylor, and his wife, Gail.  The DesignShop has been used by Three-Sixty executives to address many strategy, process, and innovation issues, including:

  • Long-term strategy development for a major pharmaceutical company

  • Revenue cycle process flow for a major teaching hospital

  • Development of a Accountable Care Organization (ACO) for a collaboration of hospitals, payers and physicians

  • Development of a Physicians Services Organization (PSO) for a state medical association

  • Response to the Accountable Care Act by a major national payer

  • Many other decisions

A DesignShop is an intense process of “decision by design.” At a DesignShop session, you and your colleagues will be guided through a rigorous process of exploration, assessment, co-design, and decision-making in an environment uniquely suited to this kind of work.  A DesignShop fuses planning and action, design and analytical thinking, and creativity and precision to accomplish in a few days, and at a fraction of the cost, what usually takes weeks or months.

The DesignShop Process has three distinct phases: Scan, Focus, and Act.

act

In the Scan phase, we work to identify the market issues, relevant technologies, and identify opportunities from other industries and sectors.  At the same time, we uncover critical assumptions, learning new things, and preparing ourselves for success. In Focus, we will identify solutions to accomplish the goals of the session and test and re-test these solutions. In Act, we will decide in detail how to reach our objectives and determine the tactical steps; individual and group accountabilities; resources needed; and timelines for success.  The DesignShop process not only brings these three phases together, but also allows participants to accomplish in a few days what would normally take weeks or months to do.

Once again, imagine for a minute the everyday decisions that your company or organization has to make.  It may involve many people, cross the organizational structure, involve multiple decision makers, and may even have detractors to the decision or the decision process.  These decisions often require brainstorming, setting priorities, ranking, surveying the organization, etc.  These decisions need to be made now and can’t wait for weeks and months.

Now imagine a technology to assist with this decision making process.  Allowing all voices to be heard instead of the “squeaky wheel getting the oil.”  Allowing the team to feel like each and every voice is heard.  This is the power of the eAccelerator.  The eAccelerator meets this need:

  • A technology that allows you to brainstorm, prioritize, rank items, survey people, and, in general, collaborate as a team.

  • A collaborative process (built on technologies and techniques that have been developed and tested in multiple venues and organizations);

  • A facilitator (Three-Sixty has experienced facilitators in eAccelerator and traditional flip chart and white boarding processes):

  • You (just add your team and we are ready to go).

Three-Sixty clients use eAccelerator to address many business issues, including:

  • Physician focus group on service organization technology and service needs

  • Business advisory group brainstorming session

  • Accountable Care Organization (ACO) branding session

  • Physicians Services Organization (PSO) product selection

  • Pharmaceutical company strategy implementation activities

  • Many other decisions

The eAccelerator drives decisions through a structured web-based process with a “collaborative decision.” At an eAccelerator facilitated session, you and your colleagues will be guided through a structured process of collaboration and decision-making with a technology uniquely suited to this kind of work.  eAccelerator fuses brainstorming and action, collaborative thinking with individual ideation, and creativity and precision to accomplish in a few hours, and at a fraction of the cost, what usually takes days or weeks.
